opportunity to see the Gorgeous Countryside of England & Wales while exploring the world of Fabrics, Textile art, Costume, and Quilts of all kinds from Traditional to Art Quilts.
Highlights include:
* The Festival of Quilts, Birmingham - the premier event of it’s kind in Europe
* Hands on workshop & studio tour with British Quilt & Textile artist Marie Roper, featured in Quilting Arts Magazine Winter 2005
* Visit with Welsh quilt expert Jen Jones, discussion and tour of her private collections, afternoon tea at her shop in the village of Llanybydder, Wales
* “Flight”, textile artists exhibition featuring the work of the South West Textile Group
* Beckford Silk, makers of exquisite silks & velvets – tour their dye kitchen, silk screen studio, art & design rooms
* Shopping for fabric,
beads, buttons, braids and more at village shops throughout the tour, and at the amazing Festival of Quilts!
Cost of the Tour is $3600 per person, plus airfare, based on double occupancy. The tour
includes all accommodations, visits and admissions as listed in the itinerary, transportation, breakfast daily, workshop, and so much more.
