basketmakers and chair caners. Very good organization with worldwide membership; many members offering courses for all levels of ability and experience. Handcrafted Holidays is a member

This very large guild is
wonderful. Go to their site to find info about regional groups and their shows, the annual conference, their educational programs, membership, and much more. Handcrafted Holidays is a

The world’s largest museum of the decorative arts. A
must visit when in London. Handcrafted Holidays is a member of the Friends of the V&A.

review of “Resources For The Creative Traveller”. This site is a treasure trove of information about the fiber arts. The host Paivi Suomi is an accomplished handweaver and spinner.

The Crafts Council is an independent
organization, promoting the
contemporary crafts of Great Britain. Terrific site with frequently updated information; find out about their annual show Origins which is sponsored by the Council. This show is a must go. See the Sample Itinerary page to see an itinerary that includes this show.

Take a look at Barbara’s site and get ready to be inspired to

Joyce James is a travel agent in Alberta, Canada who

Snail Trail Handweavers in West Wales offers
residential courses in weaving, spinning, and dyeing. The site has a gallery of their ikat rugs, a technique that is a specialty, and other woven pieces that are for sale.
